This photo, is of an art performance procession created by Santiago Sierra [with Jorge Galindo], Los Encargados (2012). The performance was a part of 13th Istanbul biennial and plays off the historical totalitarian parade formations. Here - with inverted portraits of post-Franco Spanish leadership.

Santiago Sierra is a Spanish artist, born and lives Madrid, studied visual arts in Mexico City, Madrid and Hamburg. His work deals with social, labor and immigrant issues.
