Oh yeah, that wonderful feeling, when you stay on the beach or swim as often and in front of your face, only in few meters over your head Boeing flying to landing..
Located on the north side of the Phuket island, Mai Khao Beach is not easily accessible as it is too far from most hotels.
While it has the characteristic white sand and turquoise water of Andaman sea that is not what makes Mai Khao Beach such a popular tourist destination.
It's longest and almost deserted beach of Phuket - more then 16 kilometers of the idyllic Andaman coastline.. A great place to have a day on the beach without hawkers and massage people hassling you.
Route
Here is My "safety" itinerary without a police stations from the south of the island to the great "Plane beach"
Of course, if you got a driver's license you can choose more interesting routes.. May be like this one - through the all popular beaches of Phuket
Road from the south to destination point using my variant would take about 45-60 minutes.
Impressions
I think Mai Khao beach is a great place to spend here the whole day! Great contrast to the famous chaos of Patong with its Bangla Road.
