There is a lot of things that fascinate me when it comes to photography, but what catches my eye the most?
Contrast, old, abandoned places, ruins. I love black & white; captures the soul of the person or a place, whilst color sometimes can create a distraction.
I think the thing with old stuff as one of the preferences for photography comes from a simple thought of how easy is to visualize the change something has gone through.
This photo is taken in a small village I grew up in, affected by war, and changed forever. You can see that in every corner - not in 100%, but you can tell that somebody isn't there anymore.
Houses without a roof, trees and yards that haven't been maintained for decades...
Whilst you can see that in material world, you cannot do that when it comes to people, and changes they are facing, scars, troubles. I think that is what captivates me...
