Welcome to Kaiaka Bay Beach Park. This beautiful beach is located on the famous North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, on the Kaiaka Point Peninsula. Kaiaka Bay Beach Park is near Wailua and Haleiwa, a town that is especially known for being a laid back surf town with a country ambiance and a local Hawaiian style atmosphere.
Haleiwa Town also houses the famous Matsumoto Shave Ice, where people from all over the world, come to taste the tasty shave ice treat in order to cool off. Matsumoto's makes over 1,000 shave ices a day as tourists and locals wait in a long line to purchase this famous treat.
Kaiaka means "shadowy sea" in the Hawaiian language. From it's shores you can see the Waianae Mountain range and of course the beautiful waters of the Pacific Ocean. In the top picture you can see the beautiful Waianae Mountain range in the background.
Kaiaka Bay Beach Park is a quiet beach because it is away from the main streets, so you don't get the noise of passing cars. It is also rarely crowded, unlike Waikiki Beach or the famous surfing Sunset Beach. The park also has a spacious picnic area and with City permits, families can camp overnight at the park.
Hawaii is known for their beautiful beaches and cool trade winds. Many locals love to swim and go surfing whenever they can.
