I feel like the world of porn is gravitating more towards the virtual, live, one-on-one type experience of webcams, but why? Is it something that's just intriguing, or is there more to it?

I've spent time with countless people from all over the world in the last five years, and have come across more personalities than you can imagine, or maybe even knew existed. For some, the reasoning it quite obvious, they just wanna bust a nut, big surprise, right? Most want the experience of real human interaction though. Maybe even the ones just trying to get a nut do too, why else would they chose this type of porn? Why not just find a free GIF to wank to?

As I've watched the internet grow and change throughout my life, I've also watched society change with it. It's changed us in a way that's made connection with other people easier than ever before, yet most of us are actually disconnected from our real lives more than ever before.

I think this is what drives people to the world of webcams. We're disconnected, yet connecting with a real person at the same time. It's like feeding this inner need just enough to give us some satiety, then we continue on our hamster wheel.
