Well, here goes.
I'm a photographer based in Utah and love a good adventure. I photograph landscapes, nightscapes as well as portraits, and especially dance. It's especially fun combining the two.
I plan on sharing photos and videos from the different adventures and projects I'm working on.
I'll first share what I love most, and that is the night sky. Ever since I was a kid I loved staring at the stars when camping. They're just so full of wonder.

Welcome to steemit! I am also a photographer and love astrophotography, although I don't do as much of it as I would like. What lens is your favorite for the night sky? Do you do stacking? What would you tell someone who wants to do astrophotography for the first time?

Definitely the Rokinon 24mm f/1.4. Just gotta make sure you get a good copy of the lens since they're known for quality control issues.
I don't do any stacking.
Don't let your equipment stop you. I shot milky way photos for my first year with a kit lens and a Nikon D5100.

My go to settings are 15-20 seconds, f/2.8 or faster, ISO 3200 - 6400
