Midsummer Sunset

Ok, here are the pictures from my night wandering in the golf field nearby. I should've taken more pics with different settings because these actually were the only ones I was able to work with. I took these with a long exposure time to get more detail I guess, but that lead them catching too much light, especially in the second one. Also, they are taken with a smartphone (Sony Xperia XZs) which doesn't take RAW photos, so there's only that much one can fiddle around with these with post-processing. Not to forget that actual cameras would take some actual photos. I'll get a real camera the day when I have too much money, it might take a while until I get to that point though...

Right, post-processing. I basically just opened GIMP and fucked around with the color curves until they looked like something, so I basically have no idea what I'm doing.

The tree next to which a warning bell stands.

Way too much light captured.

This is how it actually looked, compared to the picture above. (Screenshot from a video)

Note to self: next time just take few pictures with auto-settings before trying to be pro with manual.

Nah man, keep using manual, best way to learn 😀

Though of course, this is a phone so not really much you can do.

I fiddle around with the manual settings whenever I'm not in a hurry but most of the time auto just takes better ones 😅

Well in the end it's all about getting the shot you want 😀
