As one who has become a backyard bird watcher....I am fascinated by them...the first winter I was in awe of the many smaller birds that stayed around through cold and snow all winter...they really inspired me to get through my difficult days...gave me a greater appreciation for nature and survival...as well...as much as a nuisance they are...I am in awe how bright and resourceful not to mention acrobatic that squirrels are when finding ways to get to the bird feeders...amazing and amusing to watch.
