A Tale of Mysterious Lake - Prashar Lake !!
Prashar Lake and the temple besides it is named after the name of Sage Prashar (Indian mythology). The lake is located at an altitude of 2780 m above the sea level and it lies 49 kms north of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India.
The travellers are welcomed by the extensive site of Dauladhar ranges. The alluring place looks like a painting with a oval shaped lake with the shedding mountains making it, more pleasing to look at.
One can look on the beautiful ranges of Manali and Bijli Mahadev from here.
Interesting Facts :
- The depth of this mysterious lake has not been found till date.
- Natives have witnessed huge things getting disappeared in this beautiful lake and that without leaving a trace on the outer surface.
- This mysterious lake is also well known for the small floating island, which rotates seasonally.
It took us three days to complete the round trip from Chandigarh.
