Day One began with a walking tour of Passau exploring the Italianate-style streets taking in a pastel rainbow of building facades. Passau is notable for its gothic and baroque architecture. We spent some time in the court yard in front of St. Stephen's Cathedral. St.Stephen's is a true masterpiece of Italian Baroque, built by Italian architect Carlo Lurago and decorated in part by Carpoforo Tencalla. There are many outdoor eating places in Passau, which is not unusual in European towns:
...and lastly, the famous Dachshund Museum, which is located in a small shop with all kinds of dachshund souvenirs...all collected by one family...enjoy for the dachshund lovers....like me! First, the owner of the souvenir shop and museum:
