As weird as this sounds, I think we can learn a valuable lesson from a fountain. Over the years, as it spews out water only to lose it and have it replaced by more water, and algae grows on the sides and every surface, submerged or not, a fountain does not stop what it's doing. It doesn't suddenly decide, hey that's enough water from me, or that it's too dirty to do its task. A fountain keeps right on going, regardless of how much time has passed, what weather it goes through, or how it looks.

That is something we must remember to do. Even if we go through the worst of hardships, feel and look terrible, and perceive ourselves to have been doing the same things for years and years, we must keep going.
