Yesterday me and the wife went for a road trip. When I get to choose the location it often ends up like this – old concrete, rust, and graffiti.
This iron ore mine was shut down in the 70's after many years of production. The ore was first discovered in the area in 1742. Now the buildings are slowly being swallowed by the surrounding forest and the open-mine pits are filled with water.
The man-made lakes are surrounded by fences but the buildings are unlocked and easily accessible for exploring photographers and graffiti artists. By the quality of many paintings it looks like skilled artists really make the effort to travel to this remote location.
Awesome place! Can one climb there? On the pic two?

It's very possible to climb, here's a pic from inside the beginning of that tunnel. I'll visit this place again some day and maybe post some photos from the top!
