American Horror Story - Sometimes it takes 3 years to get things right

Now that we are home, I can start going through some of my photos. In my last post, I mentioned going to Carrie Fisher's grave first, well I lied, but it was the plan. As we were on our way there, something seemed familiar, and I added an address to the GPS. Almost 3 years ago, we (technically me), tried to get photos of the American Horror Story House (known as Horror house from Season 1) - I tried to take night photos, but they had huge tarps all around the house and the photos were shitty. 3 years later, I see they have exposed their beautiful chain link fence.

Now, I just had to google it and see that it was purchased for $3.2 million dollars (about 3 months before our last visit).

Now I remember getting some hate about people shouldn't take photos of these homes. It is perfectly legal, as long as you aren't on private property (Just jump on a double decker tour bus and you'll get a better view than me)- now I know there are the assholes out there that look in windows, leave garbage all over, and even photograph through mail slots - they deserve to be bitched at/fined/arrested, whatever. For 30 years, owners of the Goonies house allowed fans to walk (they had a sign) up their driveway and take photos (on private property), but people had to leave garbage all over- hence ruining the great gesture by the owners.

So the owners are suing, saying that they didn't know how famous the house was & that hundreds of fans come to the house daily. Well, I was going to say they should have googled it before buying it, but THEY DID and still didn't realize the popularity. They do go on and say the lengths people have gone to get a better look (back of garbage trucks & cranes), plus break ins- I understand that is going way too far, but it is 3 years later (4 according to 1 site) - $3.2 million & you can't put up an iron fence? Trust me, If someone was wanting to do major harm- There are 9 windows, which I can't believe haven't been the target of a wannabe drunk baseball pitcher. Rant over
