Hiking at Wilsons Prom on the Southern Coast of Australia

I took this photo while hiking with my dad at one of the most beautiful places on earth, Wilsons Promontory National Park on the Southern coast of Australia.

We call it "Wilsons Prom" for short, and it’s about a two-hour drive from Melbourne. This spot is called Little Waterloo Bay and is located on the eastern side of the park.

Little Waterloo Bay is about a 12 km hike from the parking lot. The hike back the next day is the toughest as the last few kilometres are uphill.

There’s a campsite next to the beach, and it’s great waking up to this magnificent ocean. We went swimming in the freezing but beautiful ocean water, and it’s awesome at night on the beach when you can see all the stars.

One of my greatest memories is celebrating my 13th birthday here earlier this year. I would definitely recommend this hike.

This hike must be one of your most beautiful memory's! It looks nice! Thanks for sharing! But aren't you afraid of Sharks? Or are there none? I am so afraid of Sharks, I would never swim in places like South Africa, Australia, Florida, California, places known for sharks! 😱

Haha yeah it's an amazing camping and hiking spot! Honestly, we actually haven't seen any ocean wildlife. Our friends we were with said they've seen whales there before. There would be sharks, but they usually wouldn't come in that close to where we were swimming.

nice place :)

Yeah it's beautiful.
