I had just met my wife of 10 years. We were in that really lovey dovey part of the relationship where I was doing anything and everything to impress her. Flowers, candy, romantic evenings, poetry......anything I could do to make her smile.
All my attempts at generating a moment where I could capture her smiling were happening & going well but there was something missing.
As time went on I had learned of her love of taking photographs and photography in general, so I did what any good man would do......I went into debt by buying her an expensive (at the time) Nikon camera. :)
That made her smile from ear to ear but the reason for her smile was for a different reason than I had expected.
She was smiling for the simple fact that she was now able to document our love and relationship via photographs.
Not because she just wanted to take pictures but because she wanted to use the photography tool I had just bought for her so that she could create a visual timeline of our special moments together...
So it happened, On a cool April evening we looked out from our 17th floor bedroom window and we caught several amazing moments surrounding the Toronto skyline.
She was thrilled that we could use her brand new camera for the first time to capture what we both thought was an absolutely gorgeous scene filled with so many tones and colors and shade and fog.....
This scene we were looking at with our own eyes was OUR reality and OUR moment....it had it all.....it was perfect!
No filters, no special lenses or settings........just raw point and shoot photography.....
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do to this day....
Bless
