I like that therapy. That’s why I am doing memes now.
This world we are living in is absolutely crazy, unjust, alienating and freaking fast. Those images you got accurately reflect what it feels like to live in the real world or in a virtual one, especially one like Steemit, where a work of art is good for 7 days only and so many thousands more are produced by the second that the chances of revisiting an “old” one are scant.
I am not sure, though obsolescence can be glorious, except when it is looked after, pursued desired. Out of boredom, maybe? Out of disdain for the precipitous pressure of currency?
Artists tend to envy fame and once they get it they get sick of it.
What a normal human reaction! Isn’t it like that for everything we want or desire?
And this was before the internet and Steemit.
Obsolescence can be a very sad state of being. And I know that not only from Toy Story. Old people feel obsolete and most mid-life crises have that sinking feeling as a background.
The glorious aspect may come later with acceptance and reinvention, I guess.
This acceptance should also allow us to understand how much of a tool we are for the great scheme of things, how much we are manipulated as well as manipulators.
We are surrounded by looters.
Emptiness, no matter how much we furnished ourselves is the ultimate outcome.
While we adapt to the permanent change imposed by technology, we play gods with new products with applications as varied as they are amazing. So many novelties distract attention from the old to concentrate on the new, which is the creation of suggestive and dreamy images.
The more images, the less words to express the inner world. That's why the poems are being cut out, while still saying what you want to express. Which, in this case, is the uselessness of the word in the face of the rapidity of the image, which is why it is the title: "Useless"
The incongruence between the requirements of modern life and what we are willing to give in order to match loads, evolves towards a revolution towards the speed that affects creativity. The vision of reinterpretation is directed towards the exploration and readjustment of artistic expression needs. Creating hybrids that cause astonishment and a certain fear for the monopoly of the attention that it is exercising, but seduces and pleases.
To
monopolize
the inherently empty:
steal from me,
gently.
It is "useless" to resist the temptation to experience new forms of expression, new sensations, another perception of wonder.

The unspoken keyword here was vertigo... you have unlocked it!

Yes, and also the positive sense of the word "useless" that is seldom employed. Poetry, art, silence, meditation, existence itself... can be considered "useless" in that they are not means towards an end, but an expressed perfection of Being rather than Doing.

Nice insight.
It is "useless" to resist the temptation to experience new forms of expression, new sensations, another perception of wonder.
And how futile it is to plead with life, "Don't go!" Transformation is the bedrock of incarnation.
For the longest time I ignored the pictures and just read the poem. Now your pictures are just as useless as the twisted mini poems you are producing in this utilitarian disposable society we are all trapped.
To see part of my username in the second stanza is a haunting experience... but on second thought I think you are trying to get rid of your old junk. I'm happy to hear that. Minimalism is a blessing. I already wrote too much in this comment. What a waste.
Maybe one day you can surprise us with a poem called: "title"
Everything rushing
towards the glory
of obsolescence.
I feel a spinning sense of vanity like something sweet fading away without a second thought, it's like a sweet feeling crashing into banality, this is awesome @d-pend totally mind boggling.
Wow how did you make those dazzling images?
Dear sir!
My eyes are not staying on this photographs.just dazzled eye.

You've built up a nice network.
The readers appreciate your great work!
You have already shown user engagement, try to improve it further.
For a poem of so few words, it actually contains a lot one could think about. Unleashed, it is a metaphor for the vicissitudes of life: Fighting to win meaningless victories, the consumption of empty calories.
