Run by a 17th Century Graveyard

in photography •  7 years ago

I was out in Patapsco State Park today for a run and it has yellowed up nicely. The temperature dropped down to the low 40s (nothing like what some of you up north are feeling), but with wind chill taking another 10 degrees of, it was a brisk run. I passed by an old family graveyard on the edge of the historic Belmont Estate, and got some photos there as well.

I was surprised that the graveyard had headstones back to the 1600s. I don’t know if Francis was a young man or woman, but he or she died at 19 according to the headstone markings.

I think cemetery photos benefit from black and white, but I’ll let you be the judge.

I love this photography!

Thank you.

Kinda spooky, but peaceful.

More peaceful than spooky. B&W adds a little atmosphere.

Looks like such a beautiful spot for a run, We started the day in the low 40's and it slowly dropped all day, I think right now its about 23 with a real feel of 15, I can say I am glad to be indoors and not out in that :)

I should have dressed for the weather, but it was a nice outing.

Well as long as it was nice, the temps have been changing so fats from day to fay recently its hard to know what layers you need

Heading to Palm Desert, Cali tomorrow, so mid 80s will be a welcome change.

Ohhh that would be so nice
