Cruise on Moray Firth

I was on a holiday last week and my family visited so we wanted to entertain them. I decided to book a boat cruise on board the Dolphin Spirit. It's a pleasure cruiser that advertises itself as a good opportunity for wildlife spotting.

Moray Firth has a population of bottlenose dolphins that surface frequently. From my experience, boats are not the best place to spot wildlife from, since they are noisy and easy to avoid but then you might get lucky. We didn't see any wildlife except for few seagulls and a shag but the cruise was really fun and definitely worth it.

We departed from Inverness Marina and sailed on Beauly Firth with excellent views for the Black Isle and the Kessock Bridge.

The weather was excellent, the boat rocked gently and there was a lot of splashing.

I really enjoy the feeling of being on the water especially on such a lovely day.

Watching the waves sprinkling in the sun is really hypnotic. I could do it for hours.

Especially when I have such excellent company.

It was a nice experience to see Inverness skyline from the water.
