Fairy Glen — SteemCN

The last segment of the Rosemarkie beach and Hillockhead circuit, that @antonchanning and I walked recently, leads through the Fairly Glen. It is a small river valley with a couple of stunning waterfalls.

It is also RSPB reserve due to a resident dippers that like to make mossy nests beside waterfalls and hunt for food in between the rocks in the river. Other birds that enjoy the glen are ducks. They forage in the pool.

Fairy Glen looks especially beautiful in the warm season when it is covered in greenery.

In the spring, the forest floor is covered with blue bells and in the autumn, the place is vibrant with colours. It's very tranquil and mystical. One might belive that fairies indeed roam around in the brush.
