This is yet another photo of the Shanghai skyline. It seems however that the word sky doesnt really fit with this picture. Perhaps smogline is a more suitable word to describe it
This photo was taken through the hotel window so there is some reflections in the image. But I can assure you that the photo does look like I remember the air being that day. Quite scary to say the least. Definitely need a few beers to clear the body from smog in the evenings. Atleast that's my recipe of dealing with it hehe.

Shanghai is usually better than other places as it's by the ocean it clears quickly. Where I live in Hangzhou It's much worse because it's inland . You should definitely buy a good air filter for your apartment though ! Strong recommendation

The air in Dalian has been much better lately. They finished building a nuclear power plant a little over a year ago it really made a huge difference when they closed the coal plants. We d still get some brutal smog days from the factories in the surrounding cities, rumor is most of the smog in Dalian comes from as far north as Beijing.

I don't live in Shanghai, but in a city surly close called Hangzhou. Smog of this degree is probably present around 50 percent of the time . It's sad
