I’m walking around on my lunch break and trying out my new iPhone X. I decided to buy it because I wanted to get a phone with a good camera and I must say I’m happy with the quality. Here I shot the picture pretty much straight up and framed the sky with some surrounding trees.
@dandesign86 i am in the process off getting a new phone.Not sure what to opt for iphone x or samsung s9. I have been a samsung girl but fancy a change.Need a good camera though as i do alot of my food photograpghy just using my phone.Must say awesome pic quality.makes me feel like i am actually there!

I just spoke to my colleague. He has the Samsung S8 and I must say it takes really great pictures too. I think if you stick to Samsung you can pay less to get more camera, and S 9 is probably really badass.
I chose iPhone because I’m already using it and it’s easier transitioning to a new mobile that way.
If you are happy with Samsung other than the current camera I think you can find a good deal of the newer models .

You know what Dan i actually got the s8 it is really really good.But there has been so much hype about the i phone i was considering it.But the grass isn't always greener.lol.It is easier in terms of transitioning to same brand.Will prob get the s9 easier to transfer data and using android set up. But your pic come out awesome.The random shots do.It is when you try make effort it doesn't come out as good.Sods law.lol

Haha the grass definitely isn’t always greener on the other side. When it comes to food it’s a lot of closeups though so the camera sure is important. The light is equally important though. Do you have a studio set up ?

Lol Dan i wish.No set up just my blimmen windowsill.I have got alot better then when i first joined steemit.What i have changed is when i create my dishes.I make them in the morning so i get more natural light.I use make my in the afternoon so by the evening my photos were terrible.But the camera phones are fab.Was thinking of getting a light box not sure how good the pics would be though?

Hi buddy! It is really getting to the point that they can compete with SLR. Sure these new phones are not cheap but for me it replaces both the home computer and slr so then it becomes quite reasonable in the end.

I didnt go for the X but I do have the 8 and the Carmen is great I still use my Sony for 95% ofmy photos but the camera on the cell is handy for the odd time I need it
