Streets That Come To Life - Streetphotography

Do you have a favorite Street? One that speaks to you while you walk on it, that can tell you stories that you only understand, one that has seen it all and is willing to share its secrets and history with you ?

Roads are passage ways that get us from point a to b, but they are also the pulsating veins that connect us together. There is nothing more vigorating than a street with the sound of people talking, chatting, laughing l. The smells as well of course from the close by bakery and the restaurant that cooks the most amazing Italian food. Not to mention the visual aspect which is probably my favorite part. All the different kinds of buildings, some of which where made long ago and will keep standing there for generations to come.

My favorite street is Nanjing Road in Shanghai and the adjacent roads that connect to it. There is so much architecture here dating back to the British and American settlers that where here before the war. I can imagine the life back then. The amazing mix of people walking these streets, almost like a melting pot for different cultures. Still my imaginations have limits which is good because it leads me to want to explore more and learn more about these streets.
