This was Day 1 into my Vietnam journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi by motorbike. I had zero experience with motorbikes but after a very quick 30 minute lesson from the rental company I had it mastered.. kind of! Taking almost 2 hours just to get out of the city due to the chaotic traffic and free for all road rules I eventually managed to navigate my way into the more peaceful country side stopping off maybe every 5-10 minutes to take in some of the breathtaking views! In the photo above is me on my trusty Honda Win 127cc, known as a backpacker bike.. you will never see a local riding one of these. Luckily for me the rental company only rent out the much more reliable Vietnamese models and not the typical Chinese copies.

I haven't been here since i was a child. I need to come back and check it out sometimes before i get too old.

It’s unbelievably beautiful, the more the north I got the more beautiful it got. Getting a motorbike to travel the country is by far the best to travel Vietnam!

First time on a bike and straight into the chaos, wow you must have felt a bit nervous. Those honda clones are hit or miss sometimes but do ride well.

Yeah I never really had any fear at the time but thinking back its absolute crazy haha! So worth it though! Met a few people with the chinese copies they had nothing but problems.
