35mm B&W Film Photography developed and printed by me

in photography •  8 years ago

This Disappearing Act is a  35mm B&W film shoot, developed, and printed by me. I like digital photography a lot but film just has a look that sets into a different art form.

I shot it as one shot made on three consecutive negatives. I had to design and build a custom negative holder in order to print this shot. It was a lot of fun, and believe me took 200+ times longer than working with digital files.

The final print was designed to be around 4 feet wide. This is it's first ride on the web.

I hope you like it.

This reminds me when you had to put a roll of photography to take pictures, everything was dangerous, it was a mystery for the photos, besides you had to go to a special place to come out in physical, days will not hurt those, it may not return, even whether only memories.

Yah! and it is just so much fun. I do mainly digital but in the end I cherish my film shots much , much , much more. They are always magical and there are so many ways to manipulate them and you get to use your hands and crazy machines to get the job done!

Good luck with new posts
