B&W or Color?

I was walking around downtown yesterday, and captured these photos. Honestly, I'm a big fan of both Color and B&W photography. Which do you like better, Color or Black and White?

I do enjoy taking B&W photos, especially with my lovely Rioch GR II. However, I think it depends on the message and feeling that you wanna bring by the photo. Also it depends on the available lighting, sometimes B&W is better in bringing the main idea of the photo by contrast.

Both look beautiful. I like B&W for certain types of photos and to achieve a certain feel for the photo or space the photo will be displayed in. B&W displays textures really nicely especially in higher contrast. Colours are nice in general though.

Great work! Both B&W and color look great, but the first B&W pic look damn classy.

Thanks!

I prefer black and white....it looks classic

B&W gives more atmosphere.

wwoowwww awsome photo 😍😍
delicious art and keep it up 😍

I am a minimalist at heart, so if I feel the color doesn't add enough to the photo, I would always prefer black and white :)

I tend to agree, in most cases!

I think the B&W makes both of these shots more dramatic.

It does, doesn't it!

The second one is mesmerizing. Great shots!

@daveks it is good photography

I think it depends on a person mood

Definitely, mood plays a part!

Ohhhh, I can never choose... lol! I always say, both have their merits - B&W is great at setting a mood, colour presents the full spectrum of the scene! Cool both ways... :)

Agreed..Cool both ways!

:))

Black and white all the way for me! It looks so much cooler! Not to say that the color versions aren't amazing as well, but I find that the black and white ones are really on a whole different level!

It adds a totally different perspective!

For these I prefer the Black and White, it gives an extra depth of feeling to the pictures that somehow is lost in the colour versions - but it certainly does all depend on the subject and aspect.

I agree with that assessment!
Thanks

good question but also superfluous for me.
as you know (or maybe you don't) mostly i shoot in BW and in this post i love these B&W versions much more because of few reasons..
its always depend on what exactly you want to show and to push our attention with these images - the beauty of the crystal blue skies and their interesting forms - leave them in color and first what we will see are these clouds and blue . if your goal to show us the buildings and geometry created by your perspectives - convert them to BW (my opinion of course)

Thanks for your comments and perspectives Victor!

In this case I like B&W more. It attracts more attention to the lines and forms :)

Black and white for all of them! As the Galaxy doesn't have a proper lens it takes fairly flat photos, coupled with the contrasting tones you get from B&W images I think it gives a stronger look...

I totally agree with you....black and white rocks

Yes, I would agree, the B&W does look stronger!
Thanks for commenting

BW-4-EVER!

B&W looks Cool

BW photos are more awesome!

I cant really decide because both looks great.

i love black and white photos thats make me fall in deep at two combination contrast between shadows and exposure in one feeling

all of these are simply wow Dave

amazing -- your work is very interesting..

I like the angles

Glad you stopped by for a look!

I have the same struggle too sometimes, even though I do prefer color most of the times. In this case, I think I like the first one in B&W and the second one in color...makes any sense?? :D

I go back and forth, sometimes I prefer colour sometimes I prefer b&w, I guess it depends on my mood!
