This beautiful temple is called Stupa Tashi Gomang and with its 16 meters high is the highest stupa ever built in the western world!
It was built by the Guhya Mantrika Community (who follows the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism) in a wild natural area close to Alcácer do Sal (Alentejo region, Southern Portugal).
According to that loving and welcoming community:
"It's a temple dedicated to the Buddha´s deeds and teachings"
and also "a place where Buddhism will be taught."
Definitely worth the visit...
Especially under a sky as blue as the Portuguese!
