Today, i want to show you one of the several endemic species of the Iberian Peninsula. In this case it's a mammal: The iberian hare (Lepus granatensis). They are very elusive and hard to photograph from close range. This photo was the result of a casual and quick encounter during a walk on a mediterranean meadow. The photo shows her great capacity to camouflage among the golden grasses, so typical during the summer season in the Alentejo's region (south of Portugal).
PS: One mesmerizing detail: Her amber eye looking at me...
Good shot!
Followed.
