Hey I'm Chika, the baby at the middle of the photo in my previous post. Like I said I'll be posting Afro-futuristic photos displaying African nuanced contemporary pictures and some purely vintage. I'm 21, soon to be 22, studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Benin, Nigeria. I'm African, Nigerian.
I want this to be a platform where I sincerely talk out of courage about what plagues young African Millennials: to talk about our dream struggles; how we deal with the generational difference with our parents; our position as the first of our kind( the first set of Africans with an increasing progressive acceptance to western ideologies); some of the absurd, unconscious societal expectations we still struggle to let die off, yes... all of these and more. I assure you so much of our lifestyle choices and beliefs will stun you.
