The Gardos Tower or Millennium Tower is one of the four towers built by Hungary at the end of the 19th century on the four most remote points of the kingdom. The occasion was the thousandth anniversary of the immigration of Hungarians to the Pannonian Plain.

The 36-meter-high tower was built on the southernmost point of the kingdom - Zemun city near Belgrade. Today, this tower is a museum, a monument and one of the most picturesque landmarks of the city.
