Yes, you are locked into the tier for the month. This is to prevent people from going into a higher tier one week and then the next week when it is a theme they may be weaker in, trying to go to a lower tier.

Anyway I'll enter with this shot from the Greek island of Paros not for the artistic value (if any) but for what it means for me.
You may have read in my blog that I used to be a photographer for a travel magazine and for some years I was traveling and taking pictures all over Greece. Paros was the first assignment I took from this magazine and I have to admit, I was pretty nervous about it. You see I had never done something similar before and I was completely unprepared to carry the burden of a whole publication, as I did! Imagine that I took this job with a portfolio based on vacation shots!
With this picture I started to believe that I can make it! The minute I saw it on the camera screen, I was ecstatic and it gave me all the encouragement I needed during those stressful and nervous days!

I took this photo many years ago when I just bought my Nikon SLR camera. When I joined Steemit, I first tried processing photos, I processed this photo and published it. Now I have made a new version of processing this photo. It became interesting to me to search where this photo was published and I was somewhat surprised. It turned out that the first version of this photo became popular on the Internet. People use it in their photo collections, make advertising pictures based on this photo.
I can say with confidence that this is one of my favorite photos. Including because it was made in a very beautiful place, on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, where I managed to visit only once. Wow, this is a tought one. Wildlife theme, without a doubt, but still hard. Don't know if I can call it my absolute favourite, but sure is on the podium. This one was taken in Uda Wallawa national Park, in Sri Lanka, during a safari. A beautiful changeable hawk-eagle, that remained perched while the jeep aproached. One of the coolest raptors I've seen, and with an extra taste, since it was photographed in his native habitat.
