Goose on the loose - cutest pics - Seven images

We stayed in a self catering place and lo and behold we had some cute company near our room.

Two beautiful white geese lived on the property and had a nice open space to wander around and even swim in a little pool, that was constructed for them.

I asked the owner about the history of these cute geese and he told us that he had many of them, up to a few years ago, when tragedy struck.

One morning he was exiting the property and did not notice his wife in her car, right behind him.

Normally he makes sure that the sliding gate has shut completely.

A dreadful thing happened. A pitbull dog raced in and attacked all the geese. Killed them in a matter of minutes.

This was a terrible shock for the family who had these geese as pets, for many years.

Anyway to cut a long story short, they were able to get these two, that you see in my photos, from a person that they knew.

Only problem is that they are two males so no goslings, until such time as they invest in a gander.

Not a very nice story, but it is amazing how these dogs can anihilate a whole gaggle of geese in minutes. 🙄
