You might noticed some have kenko with 50mm f1.8 on EXIF. you could see whick is better with 60mm f2.8d. for me the 60mm made shooting fast and easy. photo quality almost the same but i think 50mm is slightly better. :)
I still have the kenko and 50mm but rarely use it.

very nice collection again Mr. Digitalis , resteemed + voted ( finally above 70% again)

Thanks a lot my dutch friend :)

The flies compound eyes closeup photograph is epic!

Thank You :)

wow!

Dude is that fly porn?

sorry. i cant resist to shot it. they where not moving and it's the best time to macro shot :)

Wonderful set of images. First one is awesome. I love fly eyes :-)

Thank you. me too that's why it's first. i like the color that came out.

2 years is a long exposure:) Nice photos!

Hehe. Thank you :)

Very sharp with great detail. 60mm? You must have had to crop some of these images to get it so close up, right?

Thanks. Yes. i do crop and auto tune and auto sharp by 25% my shot. am not sure. if its my eye or monitor. some people do say my photo edit is too much. i will try not to edit. but i need to crop since file is too big.

I don't think you over-edited.
Do you mean you crop to reduce the file size? I like to use the "scale image" feature in GIMP in order to reduce the amount of pixels without affecting the composition of the shot.
I can understand having to crop though sometimes with a 60mm to make the fly look bigger in the shot. And if the original shot is high resolution, you aren't hurting it much by doing that.

Wow! Very nice!

Thank You

Some fly's just look so pretty, it makes you wonder how they can harbour diseases.
Great photographs, such vivid colours, and all the exif data for those that know what it means (not me) is also a nice addition to your post.
Thank you for sharing with us.

i agree. that's why i carefully choose where i shoot this fly. thou they are in the plants and grass area. am not so sure if they are clean. Thank You.

stunning macros... especially the 1st few really close ones!

kudos!

Thank You

You're seriously gifted my friend!

Thanks. and also lucky. since it was my wife who convince me to photography in 2007. :) she even paid for it.

Well, a big thank you for her then!

Great shots!

Thank You
