Even though production on Changelings is far away, I want to talk about what I'm going to be using to not only shoot the film but document everything about it - acts of god or incompetence withstanding - and that thing is anamorphic!
To these ends, my brand new Moondog Anamorphic lens for the iPhone 6+ just arrived! Look at that little guy! He's so small and yet he bends light so well!
I love how anamorphic optics shape light into beams, hence that insane, horizontal streak. It's not for everyone, but for me it makes the films feel more like fantasy. More dream like. Some people want reality in their films, while I only want so much.
With this new lens, I'm going to capture as much as I can with this little guy to document the process and my more intimate moments and upload them to DTube.
