Pictures and sounds

It is the last 4th week of the Season 2 on @photogames. The first game of this week is Music Match Monday. The photo stars want to see how music inspires our art.

Well, it is an interesting question for me. And it made me run through my favorites tracks on Deezer. I found lots of absolutely different music there from classics and ambient to dubstep and punk rock.

Usually, I don't listen to the music. I feel it. I mean, I hardly notice what is it about, I don't hear the words, I just catch the emotions.

I have some pretty fast tracks in my favorites which don't match my images at all. But I like such kind of music because it keeps me running. And they are great when I am on the road.

When I work on my photos, I am totally into it, and as a true one-task-at-a-time person I can barely perceive anything around. So, music only needs to be background-ish. The fewer words, the better.

I have selected some of my most favorite music and tried to illustrate it with my photos.

Even though the most of my playlist is any kind of electronic music, I can't resist of neo-classics. Ludovico Einaudi is my favorite composer. His music is beautiful and a bit sad. It completes perfectly the photos of my favorite season.

The next is an atmospheric drum'n'bass by Etherwood. I was into drum'n'bass since 1995 when I saw on TV one of Photek's tracks. Etherwood is one of my last findings in this genre. And this track matches pretty fine with my landscapes.

I love music combining the live instruments and electronics. It creates some tension, and one of this tracks works well with one of my moody photos.

Jazz is another genre I can't imagine my tracklist without. This music by Swedish Emil Brandqvist Trio matches with my shots in the woods.

And I can't live with the female vocal. It doesn't matter if it is dubstep or jazz. And this evergreen song performed by Melody Gardot I want to illustrate with my aerial photo.

The last but not least. Deezer keeps thinking my all time favorite track is "Who’s the (Bat)Man" from "The Lego Batman Movie." Well, right. I have heard it a zillion times during our trip to Portugal the last year. 8000 km there and back and my youngest son (2.5 yo) could not sleep without batman's song. And he can be VERY insistent. This track is still with us. It just not so overwhelmingly present now. I am matching this lullaby song with the only photo with a person in this post.

Thanks Sergio!

combination of peaceful music and beautiful nature, so cool..

Thanks!

Awesome photos and music. I am also a one-task-at-a-time person, so I just listen to pure music or nothing at all when working.

Thank you!
