I've been planning to do this little blog for a few weeks now. I like to show you our go to place in Bad Kreuznach where we go almost every other day to take our dogs for a walk and to wind down a little.
And especially out dogs seem to love this place a lot for all the different sights, smells and dogs as well as other animals like ducks, swans and so on you can meet here.
This place is a wonderful example of an multipurpose Park where you can find sports (Tennis, Hockey, American Football, Soccer, Canoeing, Cycling, Hiking, Power walking, Jogging), Europe's biggest open air inhalatorium (salty air), a few Restaurants (Asian food Thai place, Brauhaus), wonderful sights not only in the park itself but also the Nahe river valley carved into the rock by the Nahe river running through this wonderful valley for millions of years.
Public Pool is being renovated right now.
Camping site at the Salinenpark
Brauwerk with "Biergarten" Bad Kreuznach
Canoe Slalom Nahe River in Salinental Park
Duck feeding at the Nahe River
I especially love the varied use of this place where you can find people in different ages from all walks of live. It is not only used by patients/guests at the many spa's in Bad Kreuznach but it is also frequented by many locals from around here.
Gradierwerke
One of the Gradierwerke is being renovated right now.

And an little extra are the fall colors in this park right now! To me, simply stunning.

This concludes my little walk around the Salinental in Bad Kreuznach. I hope you liked it a little!
Let me know what you think about this!

It is so beautiful! I have never heard of an inhalatorium before. What are the benefits of salty air?

Hi Melinda,
thanks for you nice comment!
We'll, I didn't want to write "snake oil" here regarding the positive effects of "fresh, salty air", Hahaha!
Nah, I guess it has some positive effects and especially in the summer time you can actually feel the refreshing cool breeze, it's really some degrees fresher there, that is forming down in the Salinental in Bad Kreuznach.
"Just like at the seaside - breathe in the refreshing salty air. Enjoy the beneficial effects on your airways, bronchial tubes and skin. Experience a unique cultural landscape. Peace and tranquillity. This is Salinental valley."
