After being bugged by @sykochica for the last year, I'm finally giving Steemit a try. There will be a more formal introduction post in the near future, but for now I just wanted to share a few of pictures I've taken moving near the mountains.
I live with my long-time boyfriend and sweet little kitty! I love hiking, gardening, cooking and (video, card and board) games. Blogging outside of a Facebook post is still something new to me, so it might take some getting used to.
@sykochica is doing you a favor by bugging you. :) Most people really enjoy it here. Imagine the fact you can get paid to share your thoughts on the internet.
But even more than that... good posts here (like the one you just made) get noticed, and comments show up. There is a real sense of community that is unlike anywhere else.
You and I are strangers, yet we're talking.
Strangers on facebook don't talk usually -- often it's just friends and family.
You can tweet on twitter... but it can take forever to get people to notice your tweets. They have to be re-tweeted or go viral
On steemit, everyone is someone, and there is a greater sense of unity here. It's a really nice place and I hope you see it the same way eventually.

Thanks. Yes that lil spot is quite lovely and practically in my backyard. It's an amazing park just down the street right in the middle of town. So when I can't make it fully out to the mountains, I've got that beautiful place to go and look upon them.

After a while..it just makes sense to at least try this place out...especially if you've already got a good portfolio of work sitting there. I hope this first post does well for her...get that quick excitement of what she can do here.
And..I'd get to talk to @dragons more often, since I don't spend much time over on Facebook. :) It's a win/win in my opinion! Lol.
