UFO over Amsterdam, what's your theory?

Seeing all the pics from SteemFest reminded me of something strange I once experienced in Amsterdam.

Surely many people experience and see strange things in Amsterdam, but this one comes with a photo too.

I was casually snapping pics around the city in 2008 and didn't actually see anything out of the ordinary till I got home and was editing my photos.

I pulled this one up in Lightroom and noticed something odd.

Looks to me like a classic UFO saucer shape.

btw the EXIF info for the shot was :
Canon 40D | 17mm | 1/640" | f/5.6 | ISO 320

Thanks @countrygirl for chiming in. This was 2008 before drones were common.

Maybe a bird but if you look at the size in the original photo (top one), it is very big compared to the other objects in the image.

maybe in person it looked stranger? You know how a photo sees things differently than the human eye. Interesting to talk about it tho.

for me looks like the classic bird going down. And not all like a saucer.

Thanks @lennstar for posting your thoughts.

I think the size is wrong, if it was a bird it would be smaller in the frame (this was shot wide angle @ 17mm).

It does look very much like a seagull. They often have a white belly and head and darker back and wings. But the angle of the bird is strange, like it is doing a loop.

Yes, I think it is a weird angle for a bird too

I've taken many bird pics, but have not seen one that looked like this.
