Norwegians seemed so reserved that as an Englishman I was disappointed that there was such a thing as English reserve that seems so well known. Us English have nothing on the Norwegians. They are the premier league champions of reserve. It seems the farther away from the equator you get, the more reserved people get.

Norwegians don't have a tradition to talk with strangers. We live in a cold country, and have been used to keeping indoors with our family/vikingtribe. The only time a Norwegian saw a stranger during wintertime, was when someone attacked. Thus we are still a bit reserved :)
