Shot of the Day #23 - A small collection of my favorite photos from Chile!

in photography •  8 years ago

Greetings all!

I was feeling a little nostalgic this evening. So I figured, why not show some beauty of Chile? Being there was a fantastic opportunity, and I will NEVER forget it. After all, that's where I married my wife. Duh.

Petrohue river, with a view of Volcan Osorno in the background.
Crazy to think I proposed on that volcano. Haha!

La Cascada, "The waterfall".
This is about a 30 minute hike through the woods, and the view is breathtaking. The intensity of the water is no joke! Also @alovelymess and I first date.

Lago Llanquihue.
The clouds were beautiful, we just had to snap a quick pic! Sidenote: Sushi was devoured directly after this picture. Haha!

Huge thanks, @gringalicious! That makes two of us.

That is some seriously awesome landscape out there dude 🌋 ⛰️

Unlike anything i've seen! (until now lol)

Haha, that's a place i'd definitely love to visit, been on my to-do list for a little bit now. You guys going back there to visit/live anytime soon?

It's worth it! As of right now, we're just enjoying our time here. Who knows where life will take us. :)

I hear that one dude! Enjoy today with what you got, who you're with and where you're at.

Nice photos. Chile has always interested me as a destination; not just to visit but possibly to live as well. Are you from there originally? Is it easy to integrate? Do they welcome foreigners?

I am not from there, I was only there for a little under a year. They welcome foreigners with open arms! I will say Chilean spanish is very difficult to learn, as they use slang alot. It was also a pretty crazy culture shock. Many expats live there, in fact, all of our friends were American.

I've been thinking of going there this winter to have a look-see. Thanks for the photos - post more!

what a lovely location.. and obviously very romantic

Chile is very far-far away from here, Hungary. But a beautiful country I think. I would love to go there, especially to the mountains!

Perfect job only need admiration @drobinson. keep it up.

Not only is Chile beautiful, the best rice I have ever eaten was a Chilean dish.

I find the food (like anywhere) was hit and miss, but once we hit it, it was fantastic!

what is the temperature like in Chile now? BTW , great photos...upvoted!

Beautiful pics!

Oh my god! The view is just so beautiful! I love the angle you shot the mountain! It just simply make me feel that it is great! And may I ask is it a active volcano? Or a sleep on? As I'm not quite sure whether it is cloud or smoke from your photo. Anyway, it just beautiful! Thanks for your sharing!

I really like the volcano/river picture

Lovely Photos!
