For my birthday a month ago my girlfriend and I went camping at Shaver lake in the Central California Sierras
We drove up further into the mountains and parked on the side of the road and hikes a few miles to this lake, known as twin lakes. There was no one else for miles and it was unspeakably beautiful as you can see from this photo
