The first full moon of April, known as "Pink Moon" in the northern hemisphere, which could be observed yesterday. However it should be noted that the moon does not turn pink.
Its name is part of the calendar system created by Native Americans hundreds of years ago, where they used the cycles of the moon to mark the seasons giving a name to each full moon and thus mark the season in which they were.
In the case of "Pink Moon", the name refers to a pink plant called phlox that sprouts in spring and marked the beginning of the season.
To make a little interesting I share a photograph of the moon which could capture some pink sparkles and magnify them with a little help.
This is beautiful !
