Welcome my dear Steemian friends to the first episode of My photo Dominican

Introduction

All societies have their own culture, which is a consequence of the creative capacity of its members, the circumstances, the need and its history. The Dominican Republic has a culture with a rich diversity that does not leave us to identify.

Culture is constantly changing, these accumulate for the benefit of their peoples. These transformations are transmitted from generation to generation, this is why the culture is original or not, is not lost.

"Culture gives man the ability to reflect on himself, which makes us specifically human beings, rational, critical and ethically committed. Through it, we discern values and make choices. Expresses self-awareness, recognizes itself as an unfinished project, calls into question its own achievements, tirelessly seeks out new meanings, and creates works that transcend it. "

The Dominican culture is based, fundamentally, in the conformation of two cultures mother: the Spanish and the African one. It has little indigenous or nothing, since in less than 50 years the Indians inhabitants of the island of Santo Domingo in 1492, date on which Christopher Columbus stepped on these lands, were abolished by forced labor.

Dominican culture exists. And not because yes. It is due to a 500-year history formed in the shining sweats of the slaves, the arrival of the European to these lands and an intelligent mixture of the bundle of customs and cultures in coexistence for five centuries.

The Dominican merengue is a frenetic and cheerful that has managed to extend its arm outside the national frontreras and to retire in the salons of dances of the whole world. Among its greatest exponents we have the figures of Joseito Mateo and Luis Alberti, or the contemporaries Johnny Ventura, Juan Luis Guerra, Wilfrido Vargas, Fernando Villalona and Sergio Vargas, who have exported our music with great success to foreign beaches.

Dominian Carnival is perhaps one of the most striking examples of Dominican culture, celebrated every year at the confluence of the dates of national celebrations, February 27 and August 16; These are some of the most relevant elements of the Dominican culture, which represent dominicanidad in all parts of the world.
