Gardening Day turns Photography Session|Flowers|Veggies|Trees...Enjoy!

in photography •  7 years ago

Today was a lovely day, sunny & calm. I decided to walk around our homestead taking photo's of my mom's plants just to share on here lol

While She likes to plant & enjoys all this green environment, I would rather be surrounded by tall buildings and concrete.
Probably because I have lived around this kind of environment all my life.

Her Trees...

Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don't see what goes on underground - as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don't see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree.

Her Flowers...

Just imagine becoming the way you used to be as a very young child, before you understood the meaning of any word, before opinions took over your mind. The real you is loving, joyful, and free. The real you is just like a flower, just like the wind, just like the ocean, just like the sun.

She has them in all sort of colors...

Her Vegetables..

Go vegetable heavy. Reverse the psychology of your plate by making meat the side dish and vegetables the main course.

At the back of our house we have a back yard that runs probably close to an acre, my mums uses a small section of it to practice & perfect her farming skills lol, this is what I found..

That's as far as I could go, photography is pretty tasking , and tiring, I think I'd rather stick to penning down. And frustrating when you aren't getting the perfect shots. I don't know how you do it @scottshots, I'll be dropping by for tips for my next round. How did I do though? Lol

Gracious times to all,

With Love as Always,

Hey there! Other people are seeing how awesome you are! You have been featured by @digitalmind in the #payitforward contest. Of course, I already knew you were amazing. ;)

Wow. I am truly humbled :)
I read it earlier this morning. You top the class in the awsomeness department really. I am fortunate to have a friend in you. :)

I am trying to catch up with commenting & voting on the #Payitforward entries...Itentries...It was a bad idea to wait this long. I should have done it as soon as an entry is added. As it is I can only do comments as my VP will get so low if I upvote all of them at the same time.

Not bad, not bad! The important part is to have fun with it! Take lots of shots, play, and experiment. These shots made me look forward to getting some seeds in the ground soon. It snowed again this morning but it's been melting fast and almost time for veggi gardening season!

Thank you for the feedback dearie , I really appreciate.
Looking forward to doing better next time and to your gardening photps as well :)
Don't hold back with your images please!

Thank you! More photos always on their way....

Spot on @scottshots

@elsiekjay that must be a really calm day for you, nothing beats chilling out with nature.

Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don't see what goes on underground - as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don't see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. This is relatable to the concept of "Overnight Success" we don't see the pain, long hours and struggles (roots) all we care about is results (the beautiful tree)

You are very correct. I no longer believe in over night success, everything requires hard work and persistence

And most importantly patience. Learned that the hard way :))

Nice picture and post.

Thank you dear. Xo

Nice picture and post.

Your mother is quite the gardener, and you are a pretty good photographer. It is almost spring for us in Alaska, so soon to maybe be getting some plants out, and photos, of them in two months. Once they start to grow, they really grow in Alaska.

Haha. I can only imagine.
Yes she is, it's more like a lifetime hobby. I will be looking out for your posts then. 2 months is a long time :)
Xo

We are almost out of the freeze phase, temperature overnight hovering right around the freezing point. 30F to 34F overnight temps. So another two weeks Should be safe for plants.

I don't know how you do it cause I don't think I'd survive it.

You adapt, acclimate, the first two years are tough, then the third winter when it's sunny outside and no wind 32F degrees is t-shirt weather.

@elsiekjay You know I have included this post in the Pay It Forward contest for a fact that this post attracts my attention. The plant and vegetable are quite similar to what we have in Malaysia. However, I have not seen the flower here though
i could see some of the officials have upvoted this post.
Wish you good luck

Thank you for thethe feature @digitalmind, it's been an honor getting to know you so far. Eagerly anticipating to see us both blossom in this platform so we can offer more value to it. Here's to an amazing week ahead. May we achieve more than we dream possible. Cheera

Fully agreeable. Incidentally, we joined in the same month but landed on the different ground and time zone. Fortunate that we have Internet that connects us day and night and we meet each other in Discord
Talking about discord, I have joined too many in the early stage but now settle down with a few only. Really cannot spend too much time on discord neglecting the fundamental of Steemit.
O want to focu on average of 1 Quality post a day and engage in discord that has many newbies.
Lets excel together in the same platform buy in different part of the world
cheers

I had also donedone same with discord. I have left most of them that I felt weren't adding value to me, as of now I intend to have 4 discords to the max. Building relationships that Will help me grow is my short term & long term goal for nownow.

That is the learning curve and natural progression in steemit. And I realized it soon enough that I must stay focus to value-add in discord group.

For some of the high-end group like promo-mentor, whaleshare which focus on curation advice, I will stay on to particpate with really quality content.
These two channels are very important for me to evaluate my capability

As for some community nature of Discord, I will stay as long as I can value-add on both ends as I also need to build up my strength ( in SP ) in order to contribute with impact.

Most newbie who joined discord servers wanted help in term of getting income. Most are not aware that some fundamentals needed to be there.

I do write about some tutorial to build these fundamentals and take active role in certain discord to provide online tutorial about these fundamentals.

Anway , these are some of the things I can contribute at my current stage of knowlege. I will add-on as I picked up mre knowldege myself.
