Oman Part 1 - What a stunning view!

This is going to be my first post :-) Looking forward to being part of this great community and share some great content.

Some time ago I travelled through Oman and I have to share one of the greatest views I have ever had so far. Namely in a city called "Sur". Oman is probably not one of the top destinations when it comes to backpacking or travelling on your own - still it has so much beauty to offer!

Best way to explore the country in my opinion is by renting a car and just go for it on your own! Roads are pretty much in a good shape and the different places are not that hard to find.

After exploring the main city of Muscat for some days we headed down to Sur. Since we were really hungry we stopped at a little restaurant next to the road. From the first day on we started to love the great local food, which looks so basic but is really fantastic because of all the different spices:

Doesn't that look great? At most places you can either choose between "Chicken" "Fish" or "Mutton". A real menu listing the dishes doesn't exist in most restaurants. Still it always tastes unique because everybody uses different kind of spices.

Strengthened by the great lunch we followed the road for a while until we finally came to a little hill with an scenic outpost on top of it. We went up...

And were stunned by the view looking down to Sur and the ocean:
