The Bus Station

in photography •  6 years ago

Have you not read the title above, would you have thought that this is actually a bus station? Would you also have it mistaken for a park? I would have ... but the first time I saw this place, it wasn't empty. There were two yellow buses on it loading passengers.

It reminds me of the bus station we had where I grew up. It's as simple as this except for it had a roof and no grand view. It did however, had seats in the middle as if telling the passengers; "Go ahead sit and chat while you wait for your buses to arrive." Well... it won't be easy doing that these days with all the smart phones that we now have .. would it?

c.jpg

Even though the seats are so inviting and the place itself has too many tourists in it, this bus station seemed often empty. It's not because it's always raining because it was almost sunny all day when I was there. If it rains, what are umbrellas for, a bit of rain won't kill you anyway and in case you're made of salt and you'd easily melt you can always hang out on this shade here. Most of the people waiting for the bus sat there and did some reading.

I think what I like the most about this bus stop is the way it is. No pretense, no facade - it's not keeping up appearances. As if they knew, that majestic view out there is enough, they've kept it simple but the more you stare at it, the more you that you get the impression that it's not trying hard to impress you at all - it's just keeping it real.

b.jpg

Despite that many people sat on those benches on the sides, I haven't seen any candy wrapper on the ground the many times I passed by it. I have never thought that I would find such a bus station in this continent. It's quite a rare view.

I wonder if anyone here lives in a place with the same set up of a bus station as this so what does the bus station look like where you live?

This content's 100% mine . I took some of the pics with my D Eye and some with my smartphones.

I am going to see this amazing/spectacular place around beautiful nature-mountain. Can you please tell me exactly where this is located and who I contact to make arrangements? Is there a website? Do you need reservations/tickets in advance or do you purchase when you get there? I have looked through the previous comments and am sure the answers to my questions are probably already there somewhere, but I am missing it, so I apologize in advance. I just need to know how to make this happen!

Where can I find the full video/photography for this? Can’t find it, or was it never finished? Also, what frame rate did your render at? It compliments the motion and context so beautifully! Did you render and capture at the same frame rate? Also which GoPro or what camera did you use? Love the video style and color and everything! Would love to know!

Thank you...
Steem on..

Very cute bus station. Would like to properly travel around Switzerland one day.

bad for business

@arcange (posted again - hopefully you see this) I sent 10 steem to this account still-observer last night. This morning I got a message from a woman saying,

Hi! I noticed you sent 10 Steem to still-observer. Please don't send any amount to him again because he was caught plagiarizing photos earlier this month, and changed into his account to look like a "Whale Trail Team" bid bot. Besides, he only has 125.202 SP which means his vote has very little value (or nothing at all).

Looks like I’ve been had. I’d like other to not suffer the same fate of thieves like this if it can be helped.

Thanks

wow, I do not have such views in my country, I have to go there one day :)

Incredible natural beauty
I really love nature

Re-steemed

thank you

You are welcome

The place looks so nice. I liked the photo where there is a contrast between a small wooden house and a large stone building. Perhaps the bus will have to travel a long way to gently descend from the mountains.
In my city, too, there is a bus station. Now even from here you can go to different cities of Europe. But it's a different species. This is a large station with a large area for boarding passengers on different routes.
I also saw small bus stations in remote villages. There life comes to life with the arrival of the next bus. For them this whole event. It brings them a fresh wave into their monotonous life. Locals watch as buses (or trains) come and go. Life is so quiet and measured that it's like entertainment for them.
Great shots! The mountains are magnificent. I just want to stand there and look at them.

I don't think the bus goes up the mountain
but I could be wrong
I only get to see it till a few km away from our hotel

thank you
yes the mountain kind'a talk :D

I'm ready to wait for the bus there all my life. I do not like to travel by buses, preferring trains, so I'm just ready to meet and see off buses! In my life there were bus and train stations with great views, from where I did not want to leave! 😍😘😗😙🤗🤗

haha I get you
I hung out there for a wee bit, too
and for some reasons though the road is full of cars
the air there still smells like mountain air
fresh .. plus some bees hummin' around

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

it's on the tag ;)

Wow, at first I thought you were playing in the title only. It turns out this is really a bus station huh. The place is beautiful and also clean ...

Agree with you, but maybe when the gadget low battery, then its possible to have a chat :D

it's still is not that "very possible" here in the EU
people don't tend to talk to strangers here
everyone's like on a "mind your own business mode" here

So there s only a little chance for that, even really dont care?

To be honest it sure will be hard to find a 2nd one

By the likes of it you are saying It sure would be great to just witness the scenery and the beauty of the BUS STATION and scenic beauty of the background !

As always absolutely gorgeous pictures, I think the people have to visit the area once they will have memories for the whole life, those gigantic mountains and so beautiful houses with tasty food. I am very envious of you when I see you pictures. Thank you for sharing :)

thanks
