I think we underestimate the power of nature.

When we grow...

Woah. Ouch!

Old, heavy stuff MOVES.

Even concrete slabs move. So why not wrong ideas, and bad-acting people?

It's our ROOTS, man...

... that break us through.

I took each pic while paying utility bills
the old-school way (on foot!) in downtown Acapulco.
I LOVE when trees insist on being heard and noticed,
as they did this day.

Trees.
I do hug them. I do listen to them.
And I learn more from them,
than I could ever live out in this lifetime.

A world that cannot hear what they say
frightens me.

And then -- ironically -- They assure and remind
that all is rooted and well.

And what isn't,
will simply fall away.

What's scary about that?

May our days be filled with so much Embodied Beauty, Surrounding Love,
Joyful Labor, Fruitful Discovery, and Practiced Virtuosity,
that we choose Them as are our new normal.

Oh yes! There's a book called The Big Leap, which mentions "the upper limit"–this is like a wall or a ceiling that restricts our growth, much like the concrete surrounding your trees. And some extraordinary trees (and people) operate in their "zone of genius" where new possibilities stretch us and grow us beyond the limitations of our surroundings. I see you as one of these people, sister, and I've witnessed you move through many "breakthroughs." And all the world is made better (more brilliant and beautiful) because of the growth in you.

Yes, these trees busting through the concrete provide great illustrations of the discomforts that come with growth. I'm also reminded of the dandelions that manage to find their way up through the cracks. These breakthroughs inspire me in my Work, as I focus my energy as a Creative Fire, a Warrior of Light, and a Sacred Medicine Cultivator. Aho.

That was inspiring. I remember when I was a kid trying to listen to trees. I thought that they must be communicated using a means that humans didn't understand. I still feel that way and sometimes I have an idea what they might be saying. I dealt with a lot of problems for telling people all that when I was kid. It's all good now :-) It all helped me grow.

I recognize all those trees and broken sidewalks. :)
I have often marveled at the persistence of a tree, whether growing up through concrete or enveloping/swallowing part of a fence. And delighted to see that people sometimes build around the trees, incorporating them into a structure.

I’m just lowering the tone of a delightful article.
You know how Mexican Spanish isn’t the same as Spanish Spanish? Well, Australian English is just... wonderful. Here’s a whole article about simple, innocuous words and phrases that mean something completely different outside of the Antipodes.

I know that those that are serving truth and light are operating on a higher vibration. We are accessing our creator and powered by love. The attacks will come all over to steal that energy so we must support and inspire each other to push through for a better day.
