On this morning I was not the only creature up to watch the sunrise. Perched on top of a utility pole is a Red-Tailed Hawk watching the horizon too.

The forest fires in the western United States are adding to the red tint of the morning sunrises.

Dawn: The period of the day when light begins to appear in the sky from the sun.
Sunrise: The time when you first see the sun in the morning.
To give you an idea of the when the photographs were taken I am adding a T-time. T-0 is sunrise, T-10 is 10 minutes before sunrise, and T+5 is 5 minutes after sunrise.
This is a representative sample of the photographs in the video. The photos below span a 27 minute time frame.

@etcmike, i want to say that, this view is different from all for sure because it really reflecting as deep red colour.
And this time it's reflecting as the sky is fired up because that specific red lines and spot is creating fire like effect.
And yes, for sure it's reflecting as the, fire effect is affecting the sky and environment and may be that's why we can see an strong red essence.
Great to know about the Red Tailed Hawk and for sure it was invisible in this Red essence.

Yes, I changed the shutter speed according to the light meter. The light meter in my camera shows me how changing the shutter speed can be used to maintain the proper light balance.
In the view finder I can see the light meter reading. I select the setting I want to maintain and as the lighting changing I adjust the shutter speed.
The Canon 7D has an auto-mode where it maintains the meter setting I select. I learn more by doing the adjustments myself.

I used to have an advanced film camera. When digital photography started, I put down photography for a while (years) until I could afford an advanced digital camera with similar features.
If you are serious about photography then I suggest buying a camera that will let you push your limits while also giving you a beginner's mode (full-auto).
I have had my camera for 7 years and I am still learning about all the features and how to use them.
