Shortly after sunrise this Red-Bellied Woodpecker arrived to have peanuts for breakfast.

Photographs taken the morning light of 26 February 2017 in eastern Nebraska by the morning light.

Red Bellied Woodpecker

The Red Bellied Woodpecker's range is the eastern half of the United States. Eastern Nebraska is about as far west as the Red Bellied Woodpecker's range goes.

At first I wasn't sure about taking the photograph in the low-light of the morning, but the morning light certainly added a dramatic effect to the photograph.
