Billings Alternacirque at Uniquinox Elemental- Performance Photos

in photography •  8 years ago  (edited)

I attended Uniquinox Elemental as an art vendor, and did not plan to perform, but was asked last minute if i would feel comfortable performing some ambient flow with my lyra duet partner Dixie. I am still an active troupe member of Billings Alternacirque, and Dixie and i spent a ton of time writing lyra choreography together, so we work great together :) It was amazing to see everyone perform and get up in the air!

For more photos, check out Photography by Regina, or Casey Page on Facebook. Both of these talented photographers did an amazing job catching the magic of the night, and Billings Alternacirque was but one of dozens of amazingly talented acts throughout the evening. The photos in this blog were all taken by Casey Page.

The aerial acrobatics are beautiful. Not only physically challenging I'm certain, but an expressive art as well. Very elegant and moving. Again, would have loved to attend. Thanks for sharing the experience with us!

Yes a lot of work goes into our acts and shows ! But it is so fun ,and i love it :)

wow

Beautiful!

I've never seen those chains used before!!

Thank you. The chains are intense! There are only two chains performers in Montana, and we have them both!

Makes me wanna try them haha... Are there anyv aerial festivals you go to??

no we don't have anything like that here..and i have not traveled for aerial yet

You should come to Ireland next spring ;)

OMG that sounds so fun! Too bad it is so far. A plane ticket there runs around 1900$ for me, plus fees for the classes, food, hotels. Unfortunately, if i had a few grand laying around i would probably buy a rig first!! But that does look so cool !Wish i was rich haha :) Travel costs so much. SOMEDAY !!!!

I am hoping to get some professional training and certification in the states - maybe Washington state or Vegas or California. That is my next "big step"
