Hi steemians!
It's not very often that I create this kind of pictures in Photoshop because most of the time it doesn't look better than the original. But sometimes it works out just fine. Every once in a while I like to be creative in Photoshop and just try out different effects. In Photoshop I basically just take out all the colors from the photo except the one I want. After that I use the black and white brush and clean up the image.
Here are a few from my city Uppsala, Sweden
This one I took in Stockholm, Sweden.
In the end it's a matter of taste. I met people that say they don't like it and say that this is not real photography. Then there are others who love it and buy these kind of pictures for 500-1000 $. That's the beauty of photography. Just imagine everyone would have the same taste. Photography and Art in general would be quite boring.

Selective coloring can do wonders for blah images. I use the style occasionally, to give my photos more effect.
